{"id":69,"date":"2021-08-13T16:12:11","date_gmt":"2021-08-13T16:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cardandbeyond.com\/blog\/?p=69"},"modified":"2022-02-11T19:39:06","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T19:39:06","slug":"fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cardandbeyond.com\/blog\/fraud\/","title":{"rendered":"PROTECTING YOUR BUSINESS FROM FRAUD!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\" id=\"translate\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"fraud_kr#translate\"> KOREAN \ud55c\uae00<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"translate\">All card transactions should be electronically read (Swiped, EMV chip Inserted etc).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Numbers displayed on the terminal or receipt should be checked against those embossed on the card being presented for payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your terminal does not display the card number when swiped, please contact Card&amp;Beyond\u2019s Technical Support at 1-800-495-0122 so they can update your terminal with this free fraud protection software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u318dIf a card cannot be electronically read, an imprint must be made of the card.<\/li><li>\u318dVerify signature on receipt with signature on the back of the card presented.<\/li><li>\u318dDo not accept a card that appears to be physically altered.<\/li><li>\u318dNever process transactions from another business through your terminal.<\/li><li>\u318dDo not accept card numbers over the phone for sales (unless you have been pre-approved by Card&amp;Beyond to do so).<\/li><li>\u318dKeep accurate records of all transactions.<\/li><li>\u318dBe cautious of people making out of the ordinary purchases.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you suspect that a transaction is fraudulent, call your voice authorization center immediately and instruct the operator that you are calling in a CODE 10 authorization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operator will walk you through the necessary steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are times when your terminal or our voice operator may instruct you to take or \u201cpick-up\u201d the card from the cardholder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This request is generally initiated because the card has been reported lost or stolen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>AVOID ANY CONFRONTATION WITH THE CARDHOLDER!!!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All card transactions should be electronically read (Swiped, EMV chip Inserted etc).
